What a year it has been for farmers’ markets!  Enthusiastic fans are really helping to build support for local food and farms.  While the glory days of harvest season have passed, many Torontonians want to keep enjoying what our producers have to offer all year long.  Head to St. Lawrence North, Dufferin Grove, The Stop’s Green Barn Market, The U of T Market or for those in “the far north”, The Village Market in Richmond Hill to keep your market habit going strong through the winter.

Support a local market and give a great gift!  The Dufferin Grove Organic Farmers’ Market Calendar for 2009 is beautifully full of recipes and photos of local farms and food by Laura Berman and others.  It’s available at the market for $15, or by mail order for an additional $5 postage and handling.
